Compatibility
This page provides BlueMind compatibility information with web browsers, third-party software and mobile devices. It includes a review of tested and verified devices as well as known issues with some devices or operating systems.

Web Browsers
BlueMind supports the following web browsers. Using the latest version available is always recommended:

Thunderbird
Mail
BlueMind supports recent versions of Thunderbird (versions 78 and higher) for IMAP e-mail use.
Connector
The BlueMind connector is compatible with ESR versions (Extended Support Release), from version 78 (78.14.0esr). However, it is advisable to always perform available updates in order to benefit from patches and features released by its creators and contributors, while making sure to stay on the ESR version.

macOS
Mobile devices
The EAS protocol used is a standard; however, it is possible that some devices may malfunction, due to overrides added by manufacturers or operators. When this is brought to the attention of our teams, and we are able to test the model with the problem, a corrective action can be taken.
Compatible applications
Each application offers its own specific features, depending on the device manufacturer and OS (e.g. access to shared calendars on IPhone/IPad and certain Samsung Android smartphones and tablets).
ActiveSync synchronization provided by BlueMind is compatible with the default applications: Email/Gmail on Android (name depending on model and version) and Mail on iPhone. These are the applications to choose.
Although supported, BlueMind does not recommend the Microsoft Outlook application for mobile (formerly "Outlook.com"), because when this is configured on a smartphone, BlueMind identifiers are transmitted to Microsoft, which will store the user's data (e-mail, calendar, etc.). Stored data is then synchronized with the Microsoft Outlook application for cell phones (Microsoft acting as a proxy between BlueMind and the application).
Android
BlueMind works on all Android versions, from version 4.4.2 or above, preferably using the latest version or update offered by the manufacturer or the mobile phone carrier.
Known limitations
- Multi-calendar display: Since Android doesn't allow different calendars to be displayed in different colors, shared calendars are not displayed by default, and only the user's own calendar is functional.
However, it is possible to activate the feature in order to pair it with a third-party application: Multicalendar on smartphones
Please note: this only applies to user calendars (default and secondary calendars); shared calendars (domain or user) will not be visible even after activation.
- Drafts folder synchronization: Drafts synchronization has been available via ActiveSync since protocol version 16. BlueMind allows administrators to allow or disallow this version of the protocol, so the display of the Drafts folder depends on this authorization; if in doubt, please contact your administrator.
- Huawei: Huawei's native calendar application is plagued by problems, including untimely deletion of appointments. Pending corrections from Huawei, we advise you not to use it, preferring the Google Calendar application, which is present and functional on all devices.
- Tasks: Task management is currently only available on Samsung devices, via the manufacturer's application (named SPlanner, Samsung Calendar or Calendar depending on the device and language setting).
iPhone, iPad
iPhone and iPad versions with minimum iOS version 9.3.5 have been tested and are supported, without limitation. We recommend, however, that you use the latest version available for your device.
