Compatibility
This page provides BlueMind compatibility information with web browsers, third-party software and mobile devices. It includes a review of tested and verified devices as well as known issues with some devices or operating systems.
If your device is not listed here, please let us know.
Web Browsers
BlueMind supports the following web browsers. Using the latest version available is always recommended:
| Browser | Minimum Version |
|---|---|
| Firefox | last ESR |
| Chrome | latest version |
| Safari | 14 |
| Microsoft Edge | latest version |
Thunderbird
BlueMind supports recent versions of Thunderbird, specifically since version 57.0.
Regardless, we recommend that you install updates as they become available so that you can enjoy its creators' and contributors' upgrades and features.
Outlook
This section documents the use ofOutlook in MAPI, so without connector.
Supported versions
The Outlook versions supported by BlueMind are :
- Outlook 2021
- Outlook 2019
- Outlook 2016
- Outlook 365
- This version evolves continuously with Microsoft 365. It is not controllable, and may therefore temporarily present 365-related specificities that may impair its use with BlueMind. Its use is therefore not recommended.
- Outlook Mobile (see Mobile Devices)
The following Outlook versions are not supported :
- Outlook 2013
- Given Microsoft's end of support for this version since April 2023 and the specific constraints associated with this version, BlueMind cannot guarantee optimal operation of Outlook 2013. Although the system continues to function on the whole, problems may arise which we are unable to resolve. To ensure an optimal and secure experience, we therefore strongly recommend migrating to a more recent and supported version of the software.
- Outlook for macOS
:::caution Updates
Whatever the version, Outlook must be kept up to date via Windows Update.

Unsupported Features

Mac OS X
The CardDav and CalDav protocols are currently verified with native Mac OS X clients only and preferably an up-to-date OS. Given this standard's permissiveness, we are unable to guarantee that it will work properly with other clients using this protocol.
Mobile devices
The EAS protocol used is a standard; however, it is possible that some devices may malfunction, due to overrides added by manufacturers or operators. When this is brought to the attention of our teams, and we are able to test the model with the problem, a corrective action can be taken.
Compatible applications
Each application offers its own specific features, depending on the device manufacturer and OS (e.g. access to shared calendars on IPhone/IPad and certain Samsung Android smartphones and tablets).
ActiveSync synchronization provided by BlueMind is compatible with the default applications: Email/Gmail on Android (name depending on model and version) and Mail on iPhone. These are the applications to choose.
Although supported, BlueMind does not recommend the Microsoft Outlook application for mobile (formerly "Outlook.com"), because when this is configured on a smartphone, BlueMind identifiers are transmitted to Microsoft, which will store the user's data (e-mail, calendar, etc.). Stored data is then synchronized with the Microsoft Outlook application for cell phones (Microsoft acting as a proxy between BlueMind and the application).
Android
BlueMind works on all Android versions, from version 4.4.2 or above, preferably using the latest version or update offered by the manufacturer or the mobile phone carrier.
Known limitations | |
multicalendar view | Since Android does not allow different calendars to be displayed using different colors, shared calendars cannot be viewed by default; only the user's calendar appears and is functional. However, it is possible to enable this feature to integrate it with a third-party app: Multicalendar on smartphones.Note : This applies only to the user's calendars (default calendar and secondary calendars); shared calendars (domain or user calendars) will not be visible even after enabling this feature. |
Drafts folder not synchronized | Drafts synchronization has been available via ActiveSync since protocol version 16. As BlueMind implements version 14, drafts cannot currently be synchronized. |
Huawei | Huawei's native calendar application has problems, including untimely deletion of appointments. Until Huawei fixes the issue, we recommend that you not use it and use the Google Calendar application which is available on devices and works properly. |
Tasks | Task management is currently only available on Samsung devices, via the manufacturer's application (named SPlanner, Samsung Calendar or Calendar depending on the device and language setting). |
iPhone, iPad
All iPhones and iPads running on iOS 9.3.5 and above have been tested and are supported, without restriction, but we still recommend that you use the latest version available for your device.
Known limitations | |
Time-limited synchronization | For performance reasons, message synchronization is limited to the last 30 days, even when the "synchronize all" option is selected on the device. |
Drafts folder not synchronized | Drafts synchronization has been available via ActiveSync since protocol version 16. As BlueMind implements version 14, drafts cannot currently be synchronized. |
Windows Phone
BlueMind works on all Windows Phone versions from version 7.10 (Mango, September 2011).
Known limitations | |
Multicalendar display | For performance reasons, message synchronization is limited to the last 30 days, even when the "synchronize all" option is selected on the device. |
Drafts folder not synchronized | Drafts synchronization has been available via ActiveSync since protocol version 16. As BlueMind implements version 14, drafts cannot currently be synchronized. |
