Add members
A distribution list can contain any type of contact:
- contacts or groups with an e-mail address, available in the various address books
- Distribution lists from the same address book
- external contacts, whether new or already saved
To add members, go to the “Members” field and start typing the first few letters of the contact you are looking for.

The contact selector searches the distribution list’s address book. To extend the search to all address books, click ‘Search all address books’.
You can then:
-
to view a contact’s details by clicking on them

-
to replace a group or distribution list with its members by clicking on the + sign

To add unregistered contacts, type in the contact’s e-mail address and press ‘Enter’. To add several external addresses, type an address followed by a comma ‘,’ or a semicolon ‘;’.

New contacts are saved in the “My Contacts” address book.
If the address is invalid, a warning message will appear and the contact cannot be added or saved.

Save the distribution list
Once all the information and members have been added, click on ‘Save’ to confirm and activate the distribution list.
If you close the window without saving the information, a warning message will appear.

The distribution list is then added to the contacts in the selected address book and can be used in the mail app or calendar.
Edit and organise distribution lists
Just like any contact, a distribution list can be edited, deleted or moved to another address book.
