Administration
Administration console
- Change: users who are in the process of being deleted remain displayed, with a strike-through, in the directory list until the deletion process is complete. They are flagged under the ‘Active’ and ‘Suspended’ filters but can no longer be opened, selected or deleted again.
- Changes to the deletion tasks page:
- For each deletion attempt that has failed and is awaiting a retry, the time from which it will be retried is indicated (the delay may be up to approximately 30 seconds).
- Failed deletions are displayed at the top of the list, followed by tasks that are in progress, cancelled and completed. The list is limited to 100 failures and 100 other tasks (with the total shown if any tasks are hidden).
💡 A new scheduled job (
ResilientJobsCleanerJob), which runs every night at 2.00 am by default, deletes completed and cancelled tasks after one week, without ever deleting failed tasks. - When creating or upgrading a user who is currently being deleted, their login is now displayed, along with a note stating that the deletion is in progress or has failed.
AD / LDAP
- BM-24331: Fixes: A
nullquota is applied to the mailbox associated with an LDAP group, blocking the AD import.
CalDAV
- BM-22547: Fixes: When editing from a CalDAV client (Thunderbird, Apple Calendar), replies from participants who have already replied are not propagated.
clone
- Fixes: a clone no longer executes calendar hooks when restoring events, which used to cause the clone to crash when automatically accepting a resource. This also prevents duplicate notifications and actions on the clone side (Webex invitations, deletion of video conference rooms, reminders).
- Fixes: a clone no longer restores users who are in the process of being deleted or their data, and deletes those who have already been restored. This applies to users deleted after the source has been updated to this version.
core
- BM-24393: Fixes: A subscription to a deleted container no longer clears search results and prevents searches across all containers (e.g. searching across all address books).
- BM-24434: Fixes: Bulk email writing saturates the mmap pool and all body reads fail.
- Fixes: the core no longer crashes when the same container is accessed simultaneously by both UID and id.
- Performance improvements:
- Reduction in core CPU usage related to service instantiation (factory resolution, domain property obfuscation, Elasticsearch audit client).
- Directory service factories no longer unnecessarily obfuscate the domain they resolve.
- A user’s security context is no longer rebuilt on every call to
Containers.getForUser, but is cached for 5 minutes.
Keycloak
- BM-24430: Fixes: upgrade to Keycloak (26.2.5-bluemind45959). The global.virt realm now searches for users across all domains again, rather than just within global.virt.
bm-migrator
- Fix: the purge of orphaned message bodies, which runs every 2 hours, no longer scans the entire
t_message_bodytable. - Improvement: hybrid Outlook MAPI synchronisation (Outlook in hidden mode with a synchronisation window) no longer reads the body of every email in the folder, which speeds up the synchronisation of large folders.
MAPI
- Fixes: reduction in avoidable
NullPointerExceptionexceptions on bm-MAPI, which were causing a large number of JVM de-optimisations and degrading performance. - Fix: when the OAB file has been deleted, it is now rebuilt rather than being served from an out-of-date descriptor, which previously caused a 404 error on the client side.
- Performance improvements:
- Bandwidth limits (
mapi.fast-transfer.bytes-per-secondandmapi.write-stream.bytes-per-second) are no longer re-read from the configuration on every transfer. - Releasing a MAPI session no longer scans all hierarchies, monitors and tables in the JVM, which reduces the load when there are a large number of sessions.
- Resuming a FastTransfer no longer re-encodes the source object with every buffer.
- The handles table retains recently decoded objects (parameters
mapi.handles.cache.entriesandmapi.handles.cache.bytes) instead of re-reading them on every access. NotificationWaitrequests no longer send emails to addresses with no recipient and no longer recalculate their timeout with every request.
- Bandwidth limits (
Postfix
- Update: internal emails can be scanned (anti-spam / anti-virus) via a relay defined for each domain.
