Mail
This version of BlueMind brings a host of new features to enhance webmail use and make it easier for users to do their jobs.
Schedule e-mail sending
The long-awaited "Schedule sending" feature is now available in BlueMind! It is now possible to choose the day and time to send a message:
Add "Reply to" feature
The new "Reply to" field lets you define the user(s) who will receive and manage replies to a sent message:
For more information on this feature, visit Mandating a third party to manage answers.
E-mail size display
The message size is now visible next to the date:
In addition to sorting in ascending or descending order in the message list, it is now also possible to search messages by message size:
E-mail delivery error messages
Delivery error messages are clarified with a banner and clearer information on the cause of the problem:
In addition, documentation has been initiated for the most common errors and will be expanded in the future: Understanding delivery errors
Downloading linked attachments
The option "Save All" includes files attached to the message as download links in the generated archive.
Administration
Securing administration rights
Until now, it was advisable not to assign the "System Manager" role to a user with access to applications (Mail, Calendar, etc.). Version 5.2 of BlueMind further enhances security by no longer allowing it to be assigned in this case. So, if they want to delegate this role, administrators must create a user specifically dedicated to administration.
Architecture
KeyDB
In line with its work on redesigning resilient architectures, BlueMind is gradually replacing components that cannot be clustered. In concrete terms, in a multiserver architecture, this means that a BlueMind server can take over without loss of data or session from another server that ceases to function.
With 5.2, KeyDB replaces Hazelcast.
Changes are to be expected for network flows as ports 5701:5715
in TCP and UDP are replaced by 6379/TCP
.
Component updates
- PostgreSQL: 17.2
- Keycloak: 25.0.6
BlueMind API
Our APIs are now compliant with the OpenAPI specification.
End of distributions support
Due to the end of support by their respective publishers, BlueMind 5.2 no longer supports the following distributions:
- Debian 10 Buster
- RedHat Entreprise Linux / CentOS 7
